The Audley
Cuisine: Pub

England is famous for its pubs, so it’s essential to have a meal at at least one during any trip to London. The Audley is only .2 miles away from the hotel and a great example of a classic Victorian pub, which was established in 1730. The Audley has a lot of history behind it which is evident in the design, which includes original crystal chandeliers and other ornate features providing the pub with an exquisite old-world greatness, in a very prestigious location. Any great pub meal must start off with a beer – even keep your eyes open for some local London beers – and then food to follow is classic British pub-style fair. Favorites include burgers, shepherd’s pie, and a classic fish and chips!


Cuisine: Modern European

Texture is an award-winning, Michelin-starred, modern-European restaurant and champagne bar that was established in 2007 and is totally different than any other restaurant you have ever dined at. The main dining room only seats 50 people, so if this sounds like a restaurant you’d like to try out (which you definitely should) you must make a reservation – the restaurant is .4 miles from the hotel. Texture states its mission as this: “Our mission is to create meals that involve all of our senses while encouraging our guests to explore different textures of food and wines - at the centre of the dining experience.” While texture has a variety of tasting menus from vegetarian to fish to classic, there is also the opportunity to order a la carte. Some example entrees include: chargrilled Anjou pigeon with sweet corn, shallots, bacon popcorn, and red wine essence or smoked Scottish salmon with anna caviar, cucumber and wasabi, or Lancaster heritage beetroots with goat’s cheese and pistachios – everything on the menu is guaranteed to be fantastic.


Park Room 
Cuisine: British/Coffee&Tea

High tea is another must-do in London, and fortunately, Park Room at the JW offers an exceptional afternoon tea in the setting of a quintessential British stately home, overlooking the historic Hyde Park. The tiered tea display offers up a seemingly endless array of sandwiches, pastries, scones and cakes, accompanied by the traditional clotted cream, honey, lemon curd, and strawberry jam. High tea also comes with champagne, and of course, tea! Sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful experience of British High Tea.


Cuisine: French/Asian Fusion

Maze is .6 miles away from the hotel and the cuisine can only be described as “eclectic.” Maze breaks the formal traditions of French cuisine adopting Asian influences in tasting-sized dishes. Everyone that dines at this restaurant raves not only about the food, but about the staff and service. There is an a la carte food menu or sushi offering, and also a set menu featuring spicy salmon roll, tuna tartare roll, king crab salad, Hamachi, cured salmon, burrata, roasted cod, mushroom risotto and duck steamed buns, plus frozen crème fraiche and chocolate and peanut bar – of which you may pick four, five or six plates from. Good luck deciding, because everyone loves everything on this menu! Gordon Ramsay has done it again with the wonderful Maze offering playfully innovate dishes for adventurous diners.


Cuisine: Seafood

Diners describe Scott’s as simple, elegant and classic. With a great ambiance and even better food and service, no wonder this place is always busy! Show up early if you’d like to get a seat at the elegant oyster and champagne bar. Scott’s is a seafood restaurant offering the finest oysters, fish and crustacean, the menu also features seasonal game, meat and vegetarian dishes. Menu favorites include the Dover sole, the lobster spaghetti and of course, the fresh oysters. The menu is expansive so be prepared to try a lot of different dishes, and be sure to enjoy a glass of bubbly or still wine off the very long wine list. Scott’s is only .2 miles from the hotel and suggested attire is business casual.
