At the southern-most tip of Baja California lies a sliver of heaven named Los Cabos, Mexico. Los Cabos is known for its sandy beaches, fresh seafood and fun atmosphere perfect for a warm getaway. Play a round of golf on some of the highest-rated courses in North America, or swim with a friendly dolphin while making memories that will last a lifetime. Start packing and begin looking through our Mexico vacation deals to help get you there.
Day One: You hit the ground at Los Cabos International Airport, clear customs and are quickly on your way to the brand-new JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa. Located within the exclusive residential development of Puerto Los Cabos, the resort is absolutely stunning and features wide array of world-class amenities. After checking out the grounds, you opt for a body scrub and massage at the resort’s Jasha Spa, which is just what the doctor ordered after hours on a plane. And later, as the sun drops into the Pacific Ocean, you toast your arrival with a margarita, a juicy steak and fresh seafood. You’ve waited quite some time for the JW Marriott brand to make its debut in Los Cabos, and you’re finally here.
Day Two: You wake up to a calm ocean and are excited to get on – and in – the warm waters. You head into Cabo San Lucas, don a lifejacket and hop aboard a Waverunner for a fun journey through the iconic Arch and around the Bay of San Lucas, admiring the spectacular rock formations, Lover's Beach and Pelican's Rock while keeping an eye out for sea lions and other diverse ocean wildlife that inhabits the area. Once off the Waverunner (and speaking of sea life), you’re off to nearby Dolphin Discovery, where you become acquainted with the resident Pacific Bottlenose dolphins. You swim and play with your assigned dolphin, and are very pleased to learn that dolphins are as curious about us - and happy to see us - as we are them. Your first full day in Los Cabos has been so much fun!
Day Three: During the past two decades, Los Cabos has become one of Latin America’s top golf destinations (think Palm Springs by the sea), and today you’ll tackle the most famous golf club in the area: The Palmilla. Home to the first Jack Nicklaus signature design in Mexico, The Palmilla offers breathtaking views on every hole, and is as beautiful as it is challenging. You’ve chosen to work your way through the mountains and down to the ocean, which means sudden shifts in elevation throughout the course, amazing vistas and no shortage of situations to test your skill. It all makes for a memorable golf outing, with many of the manicured fairways leaving you within just a pitching wedge of the ocean. Conde Nast Traveler and Golf Digest have ranked The Palmilla among the best golf experiences in North America, and as you sink a putt on the final hole, you absolutely agree.
Day Four: You’ll be departing Los Cabos a little later after an all-too-short visit, but you’ve set aside a little time to visit several art galleries in nearby San Jose del Cabo. The first stop is the Ivan Guaderrama Art Gallery, which features contemporary paintings and sculptures and is TripAdvisor’s number one attraction in town. Similarly, the Frank Arnold Gallery and Casa Dahlia Gallery offer stunning works and reflect the community’s vibrant art scene. You enjoy an early lunch and browse through nearby boutiques in search of a few gifts and souvenirs, then get ready for the trip home. It’s been a fantastic introduction to this area at the very tip of Baja California, and you’re already plotting things to do the next time you return.
