Spend four days in L.A. with Vacations by Marriott and discover a sliver of what the City of Angels has to offer. The new and expansive JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live puts you in the center of the action, so what are you waiting for? Browse our California vacation packages and hop on the plane to LAX today.

Day One: You land at Los Angeles International Airport early in the afternoon, which enables you to pick up your rental car and get on your way well before the notorious Southern California traffic begins to build. You’re headed just a few miles north to the spectacular, 54-story JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, one of several new arrivals that have helped revitalize L.A.’s downtown area. After checking in, you walk over to the ESPN Zone to catch a ballgame and get a bite to eat. With 150 large-screen HD TVs showing every possible sport, you order up some wings and pizza and settle in. And when the game’s over, it’s up to the second floor for air hockey and video games. Your L.A. LIVE experience is underway.

Day Two: Today you’ve planned a full day on L.A.’s west side. The first stop this morning is the Getty Center, which has become one of the top museums in the western U.S. and occupies an impressive hilltop location, with the city spread out below. The Getty has it all: antiquities, drawings, manuscripts, photographs, sculptures and paintings, plus regular exhibitions and special events. After several hours admiring the museum’s works, you pull yourself away and drop downhill to Santa Monica and the Third Street Promenade – a three-block, pedestrian-only stretch that boasts an energetic street scene with great shopping, outdoor dining and much more. The weather’s perfect as usual, and you’re quickly grasping L.A.’s unique appeal.

Day Three: A limited number of special “front of the line” passes are made available by Universal Studios Hollywood, so you pre-purchased a pair and are inside the theme park by late-morning. The passes provide priority access to thrill rides like Transformers The Ride 3D, The Simpsons, Jurassic Park, The Mummy and more. You check out one of the newest attractions, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, and go behind the scenes on the world-famous Studio Tour. Later, make your way outside the gates and explore CityWalk, which is located adjacent to the park and offers quirky shops and a wide range of dining options. You dig into a plate of enchiladas at Camacho’s Cantina and realize this visit to L.A. is going to be too short!

Day Four: You wake up this morning in the JW Marriott’s ultra-comfortable bed and realize you’ll be leaving Los Angeles later this afternoon. But there’s still a chance to have just a little more fun, so you take the elevator downstairs and over to Lucky Strike for lunch and some bowling. Not your average establishment, Lucky Strike’s L.A. LIVE location features a sleek atmosphere with plush designer seating, cozy dining areas and an exceptional menu. You roll a couple of strikes, manage to pick up a few spares and have soon returned to the airport for your flight home. As the plane lifts off over the ocean, you think about places left unexplored – Malibu, Venice, Beverly Hills – and know you’ll be returning to “La La Land” soon.
