Everyone loves the burgers at M:brgr. They are fancy and they are fantastic. For those looking to try the best of the best, go for the Kobe beef burger or the foie gras. M:brgr is actually famed for having brought the gourmet burger concept to Montreal, so go big or go home when dining here. Other favorite toppings include, smoked bacon, French fried onions, semi-dry cherry tomatoes, pulled pork, hot peppers, a fried egg, guacamole, and of course, an assortment of truffles. M:brgr does have a variety of other menu items for those who are not feeling the magic on the burgers, so look out for the tuna tacos, mac n’ cheese bacon balls, Cajun chicken sandwich, and an assortment of others. M:brgr is right across the street from the Ritz-Carlton and certainly worth stopping by!

 

L'Entrecôte Saint-Jean
Cuisine: French/Steakhouse

L'Entrecôte Saint-Jean is a very unique restaurant in the sense that it only serves five items on its menu: your meal will start with a walnut salad or a seasonal cream soup, your entrée will consist of a grilled strip loin steak served with delicious homemade fries and “world class sauce.” Finally, for dessert, you will enjoy profiteroles with hot melting chocolate to round out a magnificent meal. L'Entrecôte Saint-Jean is self-described as being highly popular “amongst the amateurs of the French bistro restaurants” and diners agree! L'Entrecôte Saint-Jean gets rave reviews for décor, service and of course, cuisine. Located two blocks away from the hotel, this unique dining experience is definitely one to try out.

 

Deville Dinerbar
Cuisine: New Canadian

The décor at Deville is the first thing that draws people in: old school diner, with pink accents. Definitely start with a drink before dinner because Deville has a great cocktail list. For something super unique, try the Gummy Bear on the Beach, which literally has gummy bears swimming around in it! Favorite entrees include the ahi tuna tacos, the burgers, the mac and cheese won tons, and the Philly cheesesteak spring rolls… There is literally something for everyone on Deville’s unique and outrageous menu. If you’re looking for breakfast, this is also a great option and only two and a half blocks from the Ritz-Carlton. One additional fun fact: music requests can be made through an app for all diners to enjoy.

 

Le Taj
Cuisine: Indian

If you have time to stop by Le Taj around lunch time, you most definitely should, two words: Lunch Buffett. And if you are doing dinner at Let Taj, definitely make a reservation as it gets busy. You cannot go wrong with food; everything is good from meat to veggies and everything in between, and be sure to order some fresh naan. As for ambiance, expect to see sleek lines, tall ceilings, along with some beautiful Indian art throughout the entire restaurant, and even an actual Tandoori oven that is visible to diners. For those looking for unforgettable, flavorful Indian food, this is absolutely a required stop in Montreal, and is conveniently located right around the corner from the hotel.

 

Maison Boulud
Cuisine: French

This is Montreal and if you are looking for a fantastic traditional French meal, you do not even have to step outside of the hotel. Famed Chef Daniel Boulud has left his mark on the Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. Maison Boulud is where “traditional French roots meet high standards of hospitality” in the setting of an innovate French restaurant. If it’s warm outside, be sure to sit on the terrace overlooking the garden, and if not the 46-seat glass greenhouse is a wonderful place to dine during the colder months. There are over 300 wine selections with a focus on wines of Burgundy, The Rhone Valley, and North America. As to be expected, service at Maison Boulud is impeccable and the food is nothing less.
