Miami's rich culture and tropical vibe has created an incredible source of inspiration for some top restauranteurs and chefs to really develop their style. In between swims in the ocean and naps on the beach make sure to grab as many delicious meals as you can throughout the Miami Beach area at some of our favorite restaurants that are all within walking distance of the Marriott Stanton South Beach.

Joe's Stone Crab
Cuisine: Seafood

Everyone raves about Joe’s Stone Crabs and the line to be seated reflects this – but it’s worth the wait! Obviously order the stone crab (the season runs from about October to May), but the menu has a lot more to offer including an assortment of other shellfish, regular fish, steak and even some very good fried chicken. And for dessert be sure to order Joe’s famous Key Lime pie. Overall, crab lovers must eat here and thankfully it’s an easy .3 mile walk from the hotel.

Big Pink
Cuisine: Diner

With over 200 menu items, Big Pink is Myles Chefetz’s take on the retro diner experience. Breakfast/brunch is a prime time to swing by this Miami hot spot. With huge portions and creative dishes there is absolutely something for everyone! Looking to mix it up? You can also stop by Big Pink for a late night snack – try chicken and waffles or a massive burger, and be sure to keep your eyes open for celebrities who are frequently spotted placing orders themselves. A mere .1 mile walk from the hotel, you might even want to visit Big Pink more than once during your trip to Miami!

Puerto Sagua
Cuisine: Cuban

You can’t travel to Miami and not have a Cuban meal, and Puerto Sagua is the place to do it! An easy half mile walk from the hotel up Collins Ave, this place is the real-deal Cuban food. An obvious must-try is Puerto Sagua’s big Cuban sandwich (ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard) but other favorites include the oxtail soup, yuka, Cuban shredded beef, and roasted chicken. Embrace the diverse culture of Miami and check this great place out.

Cuisine: Greek

Milos offers a simply sophisticated meal at a beautiful restaurant a short .2 mile walk from the hotel. Milos offers a wide and wonderful range of Greek food with a heavy emphasis on seafood. There is also a raw bar with everything from tuna to ceviche to oysters. Dining at Milos is definitely on the expensive side, but worth splurging on if you are looking for some of the freshest seafood in Miami – perhaps try lunch at Milos to save some money for another great meal in South Beach.

Cuisine: Southern

Yardbird is worth hopping in a cab for or taking a little bit of a longer leisurely walk to from the hotel – it’s just over a mile and a half away from the Marriott. Yardbird is a tribute to the importance a shared meal and shared laugh and a self-described “Southern Table and Bar.” Menu highlights certainly include all the Southern favorites: from fried pickles to shrimp n’ grits to ribs to chicken and waffles; with mac and cheese, fried okra and biscuits as some of the awesome sides… and don’t forget dessert, with everything from bread pudding to banana cream pie to a classic root beer float.
