Tantalize your taste buds during your trip to Hong Kong with a variety of delicacies that locals and tourists alike will approve of. Restaurants within walking distance of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong will allow you to experience fresh Italian, Thai, and, of course, Chinese cuisine. Let the experts here at Vacations by Marriott point you in the right direction. All you have to do is come hungry.

Man Ho Chinese Restaurant
Cuisine: Chinese

Man Ho Chinese Restaurant is conveniently located right inside of the JW Marriott. And as the name might suggest, Man Ho offers Chinese food. The best time to come to Man Ho is during lunch when they offer traditional dim sum. Come to Man Ho hungry and pick the all-you-can-eat menu options for the ultimate experience. From traditional classics to more innovative delicacies, Man Ho offers it all. There is also a very extensive (10-page!) a la carte menu if someone in your party wants to experiment with something other than dim sum, menu favorites include fried rice, beef with mangos, and suckling pig. This place gets busy so the restaurant recommends making a reservation in advance.

Thai Basil
Cuisine: Thai

Thai Basil of course has Thai food, but more specifically the food of Northern Thailand; in this region, the food is spicy and infused with all sorts of Thai herbs. Northern Thai dishes are designed to stimulate the palate by accentuating spicy and sour flavors. If you have never had food from this region, might as well try it in Hong Kong, because Thai Basil is the best. The menu is diverse and exciting but the chef recommends three favorite dishes for all visitors to try: wok fried Thai spicy crab, char-grilled king tiger prawn curry, and finishing off the meal with sticky banana pudding. If you are looking for a food adventure, Thai Basil is a great place to start. The restaurant is in the same plaza as the hotel and is very accessible.

Ho Lee Fook
Cuisine: Chinese

Ho Lee Fook, meaning “good fortune for your mouth,” is a 6-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from the JW Marriott and it is worth making the trip to. When walking into Ho Lee Fook you enter the restaurant’s kitchen, the chef’s make food preparation look like an art with their efficiency and finesse. The dining area is downstairs and is dark, yet hip. Reservations are not accepted for groups under 6 people, and the restaurant is always packed, so make sure to arrive early if you are in a smaller group. Everything on the menu is exceptional, so order what sounds the best to you and enjoy; diners particularly love the roast waygu short ribs, the stir-fry cabbage, and the dumplings. This place is not to be missed on even a short trip to Hong Kong! -- take a look at their beautiful website in preparation for your meal to get excited!

Grappa’s Ristorante
Cuisine: Italian

With an extensive and authentic menu, all of the basics are covered from salads to pastas, and of course, pizza – Grappa’s offers over a dozen pizza options! Grappa’s prides itself in using the best ingredients and preparing all sauces, breads, pastas, sausages and desserts on site. Grappa’s is a short 13-minute walk down the street from the hotel. So as they say in Italy, Buon Appetito!
