12 Hours in New Orleans with Sonia Gil

You might have noticed from our New Orleans blog posts that we’re in love with the Big Easy. That’s why Vacations by Marriott Vacation Blog is pleased to introduce friend and “Vlogger” Sonia Gil, who in the accompanying New Orleans video spends 12 hours providing a nice introduction to the city.

The day begins with coffee and a cannoli, followed by a streetcar ride over to Jackson Square, where the Louisiana Purchase was signed way back in 1803. Next, Sonia finds a great Po Boy sandwich, and hops a pedicab for some shopping in the French Quarter.

As night falls, it’s the perfect time for a stroll down Bourbon Street, and a very unique dinner of famous creole dishes, courtesy of Jaques Imo’s. Finally, the day is complete with some oysters at Cochon.

New Orleans is truly one of the country’s most unique cities – there’s really nothing like it in the United States.
