12 Hours in Chicago with Sonia Gil

Vacations by Marriott is back with our third rendition of Tripping with Sonia Gil, with an exclusive look into a wonderfully-windy city. This week we follow our friend and “vlogger” on a whirlwind, 12-hour fun and food adventure in the city of Chicago.

Sonia awakens with a craving for French toast, which is soon satisfied at Jam. Then it’s on to the Maggie Daley Skating Ribbon, which provides a good workout and great views of Chicago’s downtown area.

It’s been said that one could spend 12 hours in the Art Institute of Chicago and still not see everything, but Sonia does manage to cover a lot of ground in the two hours she sets aside for a visit.

She then fuels up with a decadent, Chicago-style hot dog at the Chicago Dog House, and goes in search of haute couture in Wicker Park.

A dinner of rushing water trout at Kinmont in River North is followed by a nightcap at Analogue – what a day!

To watch the “Windy City” blow Sonia away, check out Tripping with Sonia Gil and be sure to check out our Chicago vacation packages to help get you there.
